Writers, especially aspiring writers, know there is a slew of books out there about the art and craft of writing. Here are some of my favorites:

The First Five Pages by Noah Lukeman (Good advice from a literary agent)

The Forest for the Trees: An Editor’s Advice to Writers by Betsy Lerner (Good advice from an editor)

Stein on Writing: A Master Editor of Some of the Most Successful Writers of Our Century Shares His Craft Techniques and Strategies by Sol Stein (good advice from an author)

A Writer’s Book of Days: A Spirited Companion & Lively Muse for the Writing Life by Judy Reeves is my writing book this year. Published in 1999, it is a wonderful and inspirational book for any writer. This is the third year (since 1999) that I have used this book as my daily inspiration.
